The three day event will give developers an opportunity to get hands-on training with the variety of operating systems Sprint supports, including Android, Palm webOS, RIM, Windows Mobile and Java ME, so they can create innovative new applications for our customers.

Steve Elfman, president-Network Operations and Wholesale, delivered the keynote address. Others providing keynotes were Jason Mackenzie, vice president of HTC America, and Ben Galbraith and Dion Almaer, directors of Developer Relations for Palm. Check back here later this week for a recap about what our open strategy means for developers.

During the conference, developers will take part in hands-on coding sessions, breakout sessions, event sponsor exhibits and networking opportunities. The conference will address enterprise M2M business solutions, approaches to make developers more profitable, 4G technical/development resources and more. This event demonstrates our commitment to helping the developer community create mobile content and applications.

This year’s event is our ninth annual developer conference. It is the first year the conference is open to the entire developer community.
