All Carriers off Deck

Russ McGuire, a fellow Seamless Enterprise blogger, spoke at the Open Mobile Summit a few weeks ago. In his chat about the “Future of the Carrier Deck,” he challenged carriers to move out of the way and stop slowing down the process of innovation. Most carriers are a bottleneck when it comes to bringing new applications to market, McGuire contends. (more…)

Ever since Sprint opened its doors to external application developers, we’ve approved  approximately 300 APIs. This “open” approach to development has been extremely beneficial in allowing us to offer unique applications that might not otherwise be developed for our wireless customers. (more…)
