Sprint BMG’s Strong Finish for 2009

Anyone who doubts Sprint’s 4G prospects should take note of the recent results from its Business Markets Group (BMG), which fueled Sprint’s impressive quarterly financial results last week.

Big business market customer wins helped drive this strong performance. These include a slew of high-profile organizations such as PETCO Animal Supplies and a number of new and renewed federal agency contracts worth more than $500 million. The result: Sprint achieved the best sequential and year-over-year improvement in net postpaid subscriber results in its history. (more…)

Memo to the Boss: What You Don’t Know about Sprint

I was recently asked by a Sprint customer, who was under pressure by his boss, who was questioning him about staying with Sprint.  The contract was up for renewal in a few months, and while they were apparently pleased with our MPLS services, his boss was asking some fair questions—particularly, given all of the noise out there regarding Sprint.

It is always great to hear directly from our customers, and even better to know you are getting the right kind of experience from Sprint; but we also understand that when an IT Manager decides to purchase from Sprint they are putting their own credibility on the line.  With that in mind, I have expanded my original answer to provide a more comprehensive, realistic  view of the Sprint world  (vs what you may have heard about in the news media or through competitors ) .
